Trend - Summer 2020 Interiors.

With the launch of our new collections we wanted to give you a round up of all of the interior trends you should be buying right now. From new colours, to designs inspired by architecture we have an exciting summer ahead.

A lot of people don’t realise that house trends evolve as quickly as fashion trends but keeping up with them is often a lot harder as it requires big changes in your home.  We want to take you through the emerging trends this season and how you can quickly incorporate them into your interior scheme - just like an experienced interior designer. 

The Curve 

Finally it is all about curves and we are embracing them.  Curves are appearing in the form of windows, painted murals on walls and even furniture.  How to use this; Luckily as this is a shape it is very easy to use this in an existing scheme - they are multi-purpose.  Use the Curve Wall Lights in a bedroom or the Curve Chandelier over a breakfast bar.  

Brutalism 

Brutalist architecture is famous for concrete structures with harsh lines mixing with soft curves.  The Barbican centre in London is an exceptional example of Brutalism at its best.  We have designed the LED floor lamp to sit into this trend.  The column of soft light emerging from the concrete block screams Brutalism.  
How to use this: The concrete base is fairly neutral which means that this trend will fit in with most interiors.  Whether you have an industrial kitchen or Scandi living room this will blend seamlessly with both trends.  

Lilac 

One of our favourite colour trends this seasons is Lilac.  It was seen on the catwalks last year and is making it’s way onto the high-street in the form of jumpers, t-shirts and trousers.  Now it moves into the home.  Make way for Lilac as this will be big for 2021.
How to use this:  Use Lilac with mustard or blue for a Scandi / new nordic vibe or with pink for the ultimate Instagram look which would give Elan Cafe a run for its money. 

Sea Green 

We love strong colours.  Last year we saw coral and blue being incorporate into homes and this year it is the turn of the bold green.  We use the Pantone Billiard for our green and first spotted this at design week last year.  
How to use this: Just use this as a pop of colour to show you really know your interiors.  This green is versatile and can be paired with lilac and blue for strong colour game.
